SHANNON's JOURNEY

As many of you know, Shannon and the rest of the Jones family has been through so much since her MDS diagnosis in March. She has endured travel back and forth between City of Hope in the Pasadena area and Santa Barbara since April as she prepared for her Bone Marrow Transplant on July 24. She has been at City of Hope since July 15 and is expected to remain as an inpatient through sometime in August. After that, she needs to be within 1 hour of City of Hope for the following 2-3 months and will need to go through another several months of chemotherapy.

This long process means intermittent work for Rick, countless hours of driving back and forth, expenses associated with medical bills, expenses associated with being away from home, and Shannon being off work for 6-9 months. They’ve had a year of unforeseen circumstances and financial burdens. Medical bills alone will be a minimum of $20-30K.

They are so grateful for the ways their family and friends have already stepped up and supported them through prayer, meals, hanging out with Maddy, taking care of the dogs, visiting Shannon, blood donations, etc. In addition to your love, support and prayers, if anyone would like to help by giving a donation to help cover medical and life expenses it would give the family some relief in an extremely difficult time.
