Shannon Sharma's healing fund

Shannon and I met 5 years ago when she moved in the house next to my homeoffice.  It has been a Blessing, and to this day, I am grateful for the Love, Care, and Healing that she has brought to my life and to our community at large.  5 years ago today, I was going through a very hard time with my divorce.  It was the lowest point of my being, and I could not get rid of the dark clouds over my head.
After I took my first class with her, I felt peace of mind, knowing that my best self was yet to be awakened.   Ever since then, I have continued my persuit of that awakening by signing up for teachers' training with her, and spending as much time practicing with her as my scheudle allows.
Shannon is a Top Notch Yogi with over 20 years of Full On experience. She is an amazing Yoga Therapist,  Body healer, Ayervedic Guru, and Friend.
Shannon has been instrumental in my personal growth.  I am gratefull to have learned so much from her, and applying it to my everyday life.  Because of Shannon' love and belief in me, I am now stronger, more balanced, and so Eager for Life.

You may be asking "Why am I writing all of this?" It is with extreme sorrow that I am sharing this sad news with you, as Our Dear Shannon is about to undergo a very serious neck operation.

She has been applying all the Yoga Therapy knowledge to cope with her pain however recently her condition worsened and all therapies have proved insufficent for her.  Conseqently, she has succumb to Artificial Disc Replacement Surgery.

This surgery will allow her to return to her life, helping others.  It has been crushing on her spirit and is so sad to watch.  After many years of pain, she has decided to stop teaching for now, as the pain of doing every day activity has become unbearable.

What is also challanging about chronic pain is that you tend to annoy and frustrate all those around you.  Chronic pain patients can apear lazy, distant, uncaring, needy, and often like hypochondriacs. However, even with all those symptoms, I've only seen the best of her -energetic, caring, compassionate, loyal, yoga master!

This Surgery may require an additional Surgery a few weeks post operatively.   In my last conversation with her,  I got the feeling that she was under financial pressure because she  could be out of work for 8-12 weeks.
Natalia and I are areaching out to our Community, Yoga Community, and Friends to do everything we can to support this special person so close to our heart. Please help us with this Gift that will keep on Giving.  We have no doubt that Shannon will come out in one piece, pain free, and Ready to Help others heal, like she has done for decades.
We would be delighted to see our community and friends come together for this great cause and every little bit helps.   Please donate and take part in her road to recovery.
