Shannon Mayhan- DIPG Brain Tumor
Donation protected
My beautiful 10 yr old niece Shannon was diagnosed with a brain tumor called DIPG. They currently live in Montana and a few days ago found out that she had this extremely rare tumor, they immediately flew her to Childrens Hospital for treatment. Unfortuantely there is no cure for these kind of tumor it is on her brain Stem so Chemo and medications will not work and they cannot operate. There is a 0% chance of survival rate. The best thing they can do is give her radiation treatment to stop the growth of this tumor for 10-12 months after that it will progress fast. They have given her 2 years to live. My brother and his family will have to stay in Colorado for the next 6 weeks to receive treatment. This puts a huge burden on finances, along with trying to take care of there 2 boys 7 and 3. We are trying to raise money to help the cost they will incure living out here and bringing there boys out here to spend as much time with there sister as they can. We also want to make sure she can enjoy the next couple of years doing and seeing as much as she can and experiencing life to its fullest. This is a devasting situation and we fully appreciate all the love and support we will receive. This is a urgent situation and we need to love and support them, so thank you any contribution or ideas you have will be so grealty appreciated!
