Shannon Behrens Car Accident Fund

On Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 5 a.m ,my youngest sister- Shannon Behrens was the victim of a hit and run car accident. She recounts the incident in her own words:
"I was T-boned in a hit-and-run accident yesterday at 5 AM off Kings highway and Lindell. I was driving through a four way intersection through a green light one block away from work and a four-door hardtop Jeep going 80 to 100 mph with no lights on, ran a red light and hit my passenger side.
I was knocked unconscious until medics arrived and taken to the hospital where I got around 20 stitches multiple CAT scans x-rays and have a few fractured bones in my face, needing surgery on Wednesday but I AM SO THANKFUL TO BE ALIVE.
I was driving a 2 door Geo-Metro, (which is basically like an OG smart car) the Jeep smashed into me and ramped off and flipped multiple times. And a witness saw a middle-aged man crawl out of the car and flee the scene. It was a rental car from Hertz and police found a stolen gun and quite a bit of dope. If anyone has any information to help it would be appreciated. "
Shannon is now at home recovering post surgery where she needs assistance for basics tasks, can only eat liquids, and will be on bed rest for weeks.
The man who did this has still not been found.
Although the car insurance company, or possibly Hertz, will most likely be paying out an insurance claim, it will not happen until Shannon has fully recovered from her injuries. Unfortunately, that does not help the reality of her immediate needs.
My mother and I started this GoFundMe to help Shannon with her living expenses while she is unable to work.
Because the last thing you want to worry about while you need to heal is how you are going to be able to pay your bills.
