Shane Higgins for Nemours BMT kids
Donation protected
On May 3, 2014, I was diagnosed with (ALL) leukemia, through my treatment I spent months at a time in the Nemours Children's hospital bone marrow transplant unit. Now, three years later and cancer free, I would like to raise money through my Cornhole Tournament & this GoFundMe page to give each one of the kids in the BMT unit a care package.
Cornhole Tournament Info
When: Thurs 9/28/17
Where: outside Appo HS football stadium
Time: 4:45- 7:00 pm ( before Appo football game)
Cash prize for 1st place team
Call or text [phone redacted] to register or for info
Can't attend but want to help ? You can donate here on my GoFundMe page
While in the BMT Unit a patient is not allowed to leave his/her hospital room for at least a month and has minimal contact with the outside world. Any items brought into the room must be new and germ free and can not be shared with other patients in the unit. Therefore, I would like to raise money to purchase board games, puzzles, video games, gift cards and more to make individual gift bags for the children isolated in the BMT Unit.
I want to make their stay as comfortable as possible and let them know that they aren't alone in their fight against cancer .
Thank You!!
