Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m fundraising to help give my best friend, brother from another mother, my children’s favourite uncle, a memorial service and funeral.

Anyone who’s had the privilege of meeting Shaka, knows the power he had to brighten the darkest of days by simply being present. Shaka had a heart of gold. He was ALWAYS helping others, be it assisting little old ladies to cross the street, patrons at the library struggling with food security or mental health issues, animals in distress, a friend or family member in need; you name it, he’s done it.

We’d like to relieve some stress from his family by raising funds to help cover the cost of his memorial service.

If you are able to donate, please do so here. All funds will go to his family to cover the cost of the funeral. If we surpass the desired goal, the remaining funds will be donated to the Toronto Humane Society to help support and foster animals in distress.

A memorial service in Shaka’s name will be held on Friday, October 18th from 11am - 1pm at:
