Telling my story isn't something that comes easy. Not because it's full of pain or sorrow, but because I am fiercely indedpendent and terrible at asking for, and accepting help. Writing this takes me right out of my confort zone..
I am a single mother to my beautiful little girl Finn, who will be 5 at the end of this month. Being a single parent comes with its fair share of challenges, but none moreso than financial ones. At 7 months pregnant I lost my business in Melbourne and moved back home to Qld with a newborn to start again. For the past 5 years it is fair to say that we have "survived". Barely. In that time I have done a lot of soul searching, and thought a lot about our future, knowing that I am just not prepared to live this life any longer.
My passion has always been supporting and empowering people, women in particular, and I realise I want to make this my career by helping as many women as possible to live their best life. I have discovered a course which will enable me to do exactly this. The training is provided by a private institution however is expensive, and I must pay in full, in advance, and as soon as possible to secure a place in their February 2018 intake. My plan is to sell my beloved car (anyone who knows me will know how hard this decision was!) but I believe I will still be about $2,000 short to meet the full payment. I have never wanted to do anything more, and truly believe what I learn during my training will change not only my life, but so many women's lives as well, not to mention set Finn and I up for a comfortable, secure future financially.
