My name is Andrew Buck and was a volunteer with the State Emergency Service for 15 years of cutting people out cars most of my dutys was Road Crach Rescue.
After 15 years l was diagnosed with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) major depressive disorder and severe anxiety. I have been on workcover since 2016 in 2017 l started training my dog SHADDOW as a service dog in 2018 she passed her PAT (public access test). Unfortunately SHADDOW has to do her PAT test in 2021 again which I have been told by the trainer more then likely not to pass due to her age. So that leaves me 18 months to get a new dog. I approached work cover and got a flat NO I Took it to conciliation with no luck. this leaves me with few options 1 court which l can't afford 2 pay for the dog myself which I cant afford so l need HELP.
Without a dog for me means a life of isolation no way of waking me up during night mares and night terrors also comfort me at those times. I would have to get someone else to go shopping for me in fact anything that involves me beening in public. SHADDOW dose everything with me she even comes with me in the ambulance to hospital where she stays by my bedside until I'm released. I look at SHADDOW as someone who was immobile would look at their wheelchair. Please if you can help my quality of life depends on getting a new dog
