Heart condition from covid vaccine dose 1

Donation protected

Hi everyone!

I think of Car as my own son most days; and don’t know a more dedicated, loving, involved mom, then he has. Shara is incredible and is doing all she can to even absorb what’s happened to her son; potentially, life long heart problems; all from a vaccine, he “had to have”.

Car is an amazing, healthy, extremely active nineteen year old young man. No previous health issues. Not an ounce of fat on his body. We think that’s important to say, as most people assume these things are “only” happening to people who are pre-dispositioned for it; or, people whom are overweight.

Car has three siblings and his mom. His father, (a Barrie fire captain), has not been a part of his life for a long time and hasn’t paid child support to contribute to Car’s life for a long time either.

Car went via ambulance to RVH for severe chest pain on August 27th and by August 29th he was in Mt Sinai. He has been diagnosed with pericarditis following the Covid MNRa vaccine. He has been put on NSAIDs and heart medication for a minimum of three months thus far. He has a cardiologist who is incredible. He goes for echoes and ECGs every two weeks now.

What that anatomically means is …..

Pericarditis

It can affect many areas of the body and is a cause of many major diseases, including cancer, ischemic heart disease, and autoimmune diseases. Inflammation in the heart causes damage and can lead to serious health problems.

Pericarditis is inflammation of the tissue that forms a sac around the heart. Many things cause heart inflammation. Common causes include viral or bacterial infections and medical conditions that damage the heart and cause inflammation.

The treatment your doctor recommends may depend on whether you are diagnosed with inflammation of the lining of your heart or valves, the heart muscle, or the tissue surrounding the heart. You may be treated with medicine, procedures, or possibly surgery to treat your condition and its complications. Complications may include an arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat, and heart failure.

Car was so excited to leave for university this weekend and start that life that he should have started last fall; until Covid made university all online last year.

He is moving to a house with his childhood friends to attend university, and is excited about it.

His mom is extremely worried and sad and angry and all the emotions in between. This isn’t a normal drop off of your post secondary child. This is a drop off of worry, sadness, anger of why him, and the expected proudness coming from a single mom of her son whom is attending the university and the program he had always hoped for.

The university announced you need to be vaccinated to attend campus. He played by those rules and obtained his first dose; that nearly killed him.

Before the vaccine, he was healthy, strong, happy, and so looking forward to university and ALL that entails.

He is not able to live a normal life of a 19 year old in university this year. He Cannot do anything that raises his heart rate. He cannot do anything that would bring on a sweat or put pressure on the heart. He cannot consume alcohol or even partake in frosh week, or any of the things that you loved about university; and your initial “being on your own, cause you’ve earned it”.

He chose to get a new bicycle to ride to campus daily. Well, that is also something else he cannot do now. The heart rate cannot be elevated. We don’t want to risk him passing out beside the highway by himself and making his heart condition worse.

People with Covid that end up in hospital on ventilators, a lot of them end up with pericarditis from Covid. Meaning If he was to contract Covid right now, it could be fatal.

He is single vaxxed, and is exempt from the second vaccine.

What we are trying to do is to raise funds to help with transportation to campus from his house; and to his cardiologist appointments and echos and ECGs and so on. The transportation is extremely costly and it’s something that a single mom being the only one that pays for anything for her son, Can’t afford on her own.

We have all tried to tell Shara it takes a village, so let’s prove that we can be a village. Car deserves this and Shara deserves to know he can get to campus, medical appointments and the grocery store safely; and not add stress and worry to his already weakened heart.
