Setting Scotty Free

I am making this gofundme for Scotty because it breaks my heart to watch Scotty have to stand by and not feel safe to fight for his loved ones right now. Scotty is on probation for a nonviolent crime and has lost his job due to Covid-19 and hasn't been able to get any money from unemployment. The officer that arrested him later got arrested for racial profiling but Scotty is still a felon for a few small nonviolent crimes. He was racially targeted by this police officer for months.  If Scotty was over the boarder in Illinois he would not even be charged for the crime he did because Marijuana is legal there. The police officer stalked him for months and arrested him a totally of 4 times. 127 of his arrested were black people. It was already hard enough for him before losing his job to pay off his fines. This is the remaining amount to get him of probation and be able to walk his town and feel a little bit safer. He wants to share his experience of abuse of police brutality to his town and the world. Walking down the street is a terrifying thing for him at this unprecedented time in our lives. Unlike peaceful protester that aren't on probation if he got taken from the streets he lives in and gets locked up it would take alot more money and time to get him out for just trying to tell his story or walk with solidarity with his community.
