Seth Leblanc's Medical Fund

Donation protected
On Saturday, July 15, 2017, Seth Leblanc was in a boating accident. The propeller severed the main artery to his leg and one of the main ligaments, the MCL, was cut into the femur bone. The MCL connects the top of the tibia, or shinbone, to the bottom of the femur, or thighbone. This required him to have immediate surgery to repair the ligament and open wound. Seth will have to keep leg immobilized in a straight brace for 4-6 weeks. He then will be put into another brace to allow him to start trying to use some mobility of his knee. He will have to have extensive therapy to get the leg/knee bending again. The Orthopedic surgeon said his leg/knee will never be the same again but he will try his best to get it back close enough to how it was before the accident. Seth does not have Short Term Disability through his employment and will be out of work for a while. His wife, Sally, has had to take FMLA to be able to take care of him. As you know, FMLA does not pay you; it only secures your job. Beings they will both be out of work for a while, they will have numerous outstanding bills; including medical bills that insurance does not cover, monthly bills, along with their children whom they need to support. Seth & Sally were affected by the Great Flood as many in our hometown were and lost everything. Seth busted his tail from the floor up remodeling his family’s home, never stopped from morning until late hours of the night. He also helped as many people as he could in this community. Seth would give you anything he had if you needed it and never would ask for it back. They were just picking up the pieces and enjoying their “new home” and lives again when this accident happened. Our family asks that each one of you please keep them in your prayers during this difficult time. We have set up this Gofundme to try and help them as much as possible. We understand some of you can’t help as your own lives were affected. Any amount will be appreciated!! If you can’t, please share and say lots of prayers for them as they try to get through this difficult time. Thank you all for the calls, texts, visits! We love you all!
