Service Dog 's - Vets, First Responders, Disabled

A Veteran's Objective is raising money to help our Veteran's, First Responders and clients train their service dogs who otherwise cannot afford it. Training takes upwards of 360 training hours, and can be up to at least a two year commitment from the handler and trainers. It costs about $3,000 per month, per dog to train. We need your help to make this a reality for our clients. All donations will go directly to help train their service dogs, and provide them with the equipment (collars and leashes) to help our handlers achieve a new sense of normalcy and allow them to become productive functioning members of society again. Our clients come to us with their dog, we do not purchase and train; these teams train together to be come successful dog and handler teams.
Our clients have a multitude of tasks that their service dog can perform. Some tasks we are currently working on; reminders to take medications, picking up objects that have fallen out of reach, clearing rooms and turning on lights to help with anxiety, recognizing accelerated heart rates in crowds and removing individual from anxious situations. These are just a few of the tasks our handlers and dogs are working towards.
Our clients have been through multiple traumatic events that brought them to us in need. On our veteran's side we have severe PTSD brought on by multiple combat deployments, health issues caused by years of serving our Country, and military sexual trauma to name a few of the issues we are helping our veteran's work through to regain their proud sense of independence. Our First Responders are also dealing with similar issues such as anxiety and depression, going out in public, being in stores and public places, survivors guilt and more that we are building their coping mechanisms, ensuring they have a better future. Our civilians also are learning how to succeed with disabilities; they need help with daily living skills, reminders and mobility and training them to be a successful team.
