Service Dog for Mobility/Stability

My 49 yr old wife Miki’s quality of life started diminishing after her diagnosis of cancer 5 yrs ago. After overcoming the hurdles to be cancer free she was diagnosed with a number of other ailments. Cervical myelopathy, lumbar hernia, spurring and disc disease, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis. These ailments cause her daily pain. The quality of life has deteriorated to a point where simple everyday household tasks cause Miki extreme pain and exhaustion. In addition she has been unable to enjoy many activities we would do together just a few years ago. She has been unable to attend weddings and family gatherings in recent years since she cannot travel long distances without extreme pain.
The Dr. said the severity of the myelopathy will cause paralysis unless she has surgery. She would require a few surgeries with lengthy recovery periods. She plans to have these surgeries as soon as possible.
The Dr prescribed a service dog for mobility, stability and we
are looking to raise enough money to help get the service dog for her to have a better quality of life. A service dog could assist with retrieving items dropped, opening doors, getting her medication bag and therapeutic walking.
We’ve reached out to foundations, breeders and trainers and need to reach a monetary goal to make this happen. Trying to sell items around the house ..it has helped a little but not nearly enough for the service dog, medical costs (to hopefully prevent permanent damage and paralysis) and mobility scooter if necessary. Some have asked where they can donate, and I was told to start this page. Thank you so very much for any and all help. Anything is immensely appreciated from the bottom of my heart!
