Many families in Honduras only have one way out of the immense poverty that they were born into – education. The wave of COVID-19 in Honduras in conjunction with pre-existing educational deficiencies has made it impossible for all students to get access to any type of education - thereby depriving them of any opportunity to escape their poverty.

The distribution of our laptops to students and faculty in addition to the refurbishing of the internet infrastructure will allow Honduran students to regain their education even despite the disaster of the pandemic.
The Service Beakers team will travel to Honduras in January of 2022 to distribute these laptops to the children and help refurbish the internet infrastructure there. We will also provide several hands-on science lessons similar to what we have provided to over 3,600 students here in NC.
