Serve Germany

I have the exciting opportunity to spend my summer in Heidelberg, Germany with Life Church - an international and bilingual church, which has families from over 40 different nations.

I will spend 1 month as a MAPS Volunteer with Kirk and Amy Priest and their 3 kids - veteran missionaries in Germany and pastors of Life Church. I will also be aiding their children’s ministry during a summer camp called CONNECT, put on by Students for Christ Europe near Cologne, Germany.

As many of you know, I started to learn German in high school as a way to explore other Germanic languages. As I’ve learned to read, speak, and write German I have an ever-increasing desire to teach English as missions. Currently, I am a full-time elementary teacher. I work with several English Language Learner (ELL) students in my own classroom. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I teach English to families in Williston. Through teaching, I’ve cultivated a heart for language learning and developed a desire to reach others for Christ.

I am praying that my time in Germany will help me determine my future course for using teaching English as missions. In order to make this possible, I am looking for people who will partner with me in prayer and financial support.

Will you help me go? I need to raise a total of $3,000. This amount will cover housing, food, transportation, and emergency funds during my month long term.

Romans 10:13-14 says that “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?
