SGT. Jerry Henry's Medical bills
Donation protected
Sergeant Jerry Henry is a Veteran of the 10th Mountain Division and has fallen on hard times. Due to service related illnesses, Jerry suffered a stroke several years ago which has significantly limited his ability to find employment and earn enough money to pay the bills. As can be expected, the VA was initially reluctant to help a veteran. The last several months have been particularly difficult for him because the VA and Social Security Administration under-paid him several times and the bills just started stacking up. Now Sergeant Henry is facing some tough decisions on what bills to pay. We've all been in a place where we have to prioritize what bills we are going to pay. Now he's having to decide to either put food in his belly or be evicted, have phone and electricity turned off or pay for his medical treatment. These are decisions that no veteran should have to face in thier lifetime. Jerry has been a friend to many soldiers and their families and helped keep a lot of young troops out of trouble by being the designated driver, waking up in the middle of the night to come and pick soldiers up, driving them home for the holidays, lending them money and his car when needed, paying for a meal, or counseling soldiers with their personal problems.
Whatever you can spare to help Sergeant Henry will be greatly appreciated and help this proud soldier get back on his feet and out of danger of being homeless and hungry.
