Serene's Fund

A little over ten years ago my daughter Serene was diagnosed with a brain stem tumor. When the tumor was first discovered we were told she had a year to live at most. Not willing to accept that answer my wife and I explored treatment options at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston MA. There she was put on an experimental medication and given radiation treatment. These treatments worked and for the last ten years Serene has lived a realatively normal life. That normal life is now being turned upside down once again.

During her most recent MRI a new growth was found and once again my family is having to find ways to deal with this new threat to my daughters life.  While I can't predict the outcome of this latest news, I can fight for her and do everything I can to help her get better. We have a tough road ahead and it's not one that I want to travel down, but I have to.

I understand that it may not be an easy time for people to give, but if you can even give just five or ten dollars that will add to the ammount we are raising and help. We will have to pay for gas, medical co pays, food, lodging, and more while we get Serene the treatment she needs.

Any money donated will only be used for expenses assocaited with treatment  At the end, any money not used for that purpose will be divided evenly and given to the Jimmy Fund and Make a Wish foundation.
