Seraphic Fire Artists Fund

Our Artists are the heart and soul of Seraphic Fire, and while we wish we could hear the music they create, we also want to be conscious of their health and the health of everyone around us.

The pandemic has created a huge hole in the artistic community. Contracts for freelancers are being canceled left and right, leaving most of our artists left wondering how to support themselves. Many artists do not qualify for unemployment benefits, and challenges and delays with Government assistance programs mean some of our artists face an indefinite period of time without any income.

I am so proud of Seraphic Fire's commitment to paying our artists and honoring our fees, but as they have suffered a financial loss, so too has Seraphic Fire. Though we were able to honor the fees for March, April, and May, the company cannot support the full loss of $70,000 in artist fees for programs contracted through the summer.

I'd like to follow in the footsteps of our Artistic and Executive Directors by choosing to support our artists and helping Seraphic Fire pay as much of their contracted fees as possible as they face the full force of this financial storm.

To kick-off the campaign, Seraphic Fire will match every gift, dollar for dollar, up to $2,500. Please donate whatever you can to the livelihood of our artists - even $20 can help us achieve our goal. For reference:

$10,000 raised = $250/ artist 
$15,000 raised = $375/ artist
$20,000 raised = $500/ artist

Eric Rubio, our General Operations and Finance Manager, will collect the funds and through our organization, we will equally distribute any money raised to all 40 contracted members of Seraphic Fire’s summer programs who are affected directly by the aforementioned canceled contracts.
