Senior Toby needs lifesaving abdominal ultrasound!

Dr Martinez just called and said she thinks he may have cancer (liver or a mass), not his spleen as no bleeding. He needs an abdominal ultrasound ASAP, the closest is an hour away from our foster in Gainesville and she doesn’t think they give rescue discounts as it is now Blue Pearl could be $450 - $750, depending on how extensive and if not terminal, he needs the fluids removed from his belly but if terminal they should stay. He seems to also have fluids building in his chest now too that looks abnormal (maybe his thorax) so praying not heart failure.
His bloodwork looks pretty normal thankfully (so again means no bleeding) & his liver is not looking terrible, he has so much fluid though she can’t get a clear read on his organs, etc. He is stable and acting fine (peeing, pooping, playing) but that could quickly change and she might have to take him to an ER vet if she isn’t open. The ultrasound will be set up for tomorrow afternoon so we need these funds ASAP and desperately need help with this!
We owe for his vet visit today having had an exam, xrays and bloodwork. Not sure what we will owe after his ultrasound for any treatment or procedure but will need to increase this fundraiser based on the results.
Toby has been abused in his previous life but has the sweetest nature that totally forgives and loves people. He follows his foster mom everywhere. When he got to her home he had never been inside a home before and was terrified but his Foster Mom has shown him love and patience & he grows daily with her. He’s very submissive :( Sometimes just even raising your hand to throw a toy will make him cower. Toby is a gentle old guy, loves gentle attention, love and will happily love you every day of his life....and we love him every day of his!
