Send Nilu to College at UW-Stout

My name is Nilu and I'm from a small village in Tajikistan. I am currently an exchange student at Menomonie High School in Wisconsin because I was awarded a prestigious scholarship from the U.S. government. In Tajikistan, I earned the highest marks possible in every course I took. I am fluent in four languages, and I love nothing more than learning. I have applied to be a student at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. I love Menomonie, and I look forward to returning in the fall to study international business. I want to make a difference in the world. I want to help women in my country, and more than anything, I want to support my mother. She is a single mother and she has worked so hard to raise me to be strong and independent. I love the U.S. It has been my dream to study here. In March, I will be spending a week in Washington D.C., because I was awarded a leadership scholarship. I have made many friends and close relationships in Menomonie. I appreciate all the caring and support I have received in this community., I have tried to give back through volunteering. I have volunteered over 100 hours at Winter Haven. I am grateful for your financial support. When college starts in the fall, I will be able to earn money doing work study, but I must have the tuition money now to get a visa to come back and study in the U.S. I have people here whom I can live with so I won't have high living expenses, but I must pay 20,000 in international tuition costs. These funds are needed immediately so I can get a visa to return in August. Thank you for caring.
