Sending Love to Moriah

Moriah was diagnosed with melanoma several years ago.  She has been bravely battling this disease but last Mother's Day we found out that it had spread to her brain.  The past few months, she has needed extensive medical care and extra support for her daily needs.  She is an intelligent, funny, loving young woman that loves life and has always embraced experiences and people.  She has always been one of the first to help someone or fight for a cause.  She has humbled me over the years and inspired me to be more giving of both my time and finances.  She has been a volunteer for so many events and worked with the disadvantaged all over the world.  Once, when we were working at an orphanage in Guatemala, we walked past someone who was begging.  She was only 14 years old at the time, but  she gave them all of the change that she had in her pocket.  I mentioned that she didn't need to always give everything away and she taught me in that moment -- That what we give to the world is always more important than what we keep to ourselves.

Ben Juarez Servin and Moriah were married a little over a year ago.  He has been a complete rock for Moriah, constantly at her side and attentive to her every need.... he has even maintained his humor to keep her smiling! :)  Ben will be accepting the funds on Moriah's behalf, as she is not able to and he will be using them for medical bills and to cover the costs for around the clock care.
