Sending his body to his hometown Peru

Hi my name is Samuel Barrera my friends call me Sammy I have worked at Destefano’s Olde Erie in Middletown for 20 years as the head chef. On behalf of myself and my family we are pleading with the community to help us in this time of need. My father Nemesio Barrera most knowing as Pacho everyone at work calling him poncho lol. He was the most amazing person in the world such a great dad such a great friend. If you saw him you always saw him with a smile on his face. He lived in Peru but recently got his residency here in the States and was coming here for a few months to be with me and my older brother Milton. This was only his second visit to America and was only here for a few weeks before yesterday June 8th he was tragically taken from us in a horrible car accident. This has left my family and I in unbearable pain and sadness. Our family wants to respect his wishes and give him what he would have wanted and that is to return to Peru to have a funeral and a burial place our family, friends and the neighborhood can visit and pay their respects. He was so happy to be here with us. He loved working and just being able to help anywhere he was needed. The expense of getting him home to Peru is just too much for our family to bare right now and we are hoping the community could come together and just give any support they could.
