I'm raising money to attend and compete at the 2017 FINA World Masters Championships in Budapest, Hungary, 7-20 August.
I have qualified for the women's 100m breaststroke, in the 30-34 year age group, with a lifetime best swim of 1:24.57 at the 2017 PNA Championship Meet. For someone who never made it out of the "slow" lane on her high school swim team, this is quite the achievement!
I have been a Masters swimmer and coach for 8 years, swimming stronger and smarter as I age, and am proud to have coached myself to this level of competition. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the US team and other amateur athletes from around in the world at the outstanding aquatic venues in Budapest.
Funds raised will cover rountrip airfare from Seattle-Budapest, accomodation for 8 nights in Budapest, and event registration. Any funds raised over trip costs will be donated to my favorite pools in Seattle: Evergreen Community Pool and Colman Pool .
