Send Tristan to Camp!

Please help us raise money for Tristan to go to camp for the summer! Some of you have probably met Tristan, he's a bright, promising boy who has come to visit us for the past 4 years through the Fresh Air Fund. Last year I was able to hook Tristan up with a wonderful camp in New Hampshire and he spent 3 and a half weeks on full scholarship (tuition only) at Pemigewassett (Camp Pemi), an all boys camp. Tristan returned to share that it was the best time of his life! This camp opened his world to numerous things that he had never experienced before and brought him closer to nature, the arts and he made great friends. Needless to say, Tristan would now like to attend camp for the full seven-weeks. We were again able to secure his half-session on scholarship but need an addition $3,000+ to send him the whole summer.
One thing that Tristan REALLY wants to do is the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta - something in which only full-time campers can participate.
I am reaching out to help raise funds to send Tristan to camp full-time to those who I know, those who know myself and Steve and perhaps those who also know the value of camp in a child's life.
I can assure a couple of things:
-ALL funds will go directly to Camp Pemi, nothing will be sent to the family of Tristan directly.
-Although I've put a goal of $3,000, the tuition is a little bit over that. There is also airfare and bus fare (Tristan moved to Virginia so he will have to fly there and bus back to NYC to visit with us) The bus one-way is $150.
-There are plenty of additional expenses such as gear, clothing, necessities. Tristan's mother has pledged to put in as much money as she can, up to $1,000.
-Steve and myself will help buy Tristan whatever he needs for camp, put money in his account at camp for Canteen and also help with his transport, same as we did last year.
I know we all are looking at our own situations and paying for our own kid's camps so anything donated to me is much appreciated. Steve and I are committed to Tristan, he's become a valued part of our family. If we can't raise enough, we'll refund the money to each individual. It will not be used for anything but Tristan's camp expenses.
