Take Root will be traveling to Berlin, Germany this upcoming April 25th - May 2nd, 2018!
Our dancers and musicians have the unique opportunity to perform an evening length concert for an international dance audience, as well as teach movement classes to the local community in Berlin, Germany!
Ali Woerner, director of Take Root's Dance for Parkinson's Disease Program, will connect with the Parkinson's Disease community in Berlin to share her experience and expand her research.
This trip will also provide time and space for Take Root to create new repertory work to bring home to the Metro Detroit area to support a lecture/demonstration series including Arts Education outreach, Dance for Parkinson's Disease and Oakland University.
Your donation will support travel and accommondations for Take Root during their trip to Berlin. Take Root consists of 10 performers. Whether it is through performing or through our influential outreach programs, Take Root prides itself in our mission and in our commitment to the community. We strive to impact the lives of others, to provide opportunities, to connect, and to contribute to the intellectual and artistic life of any individual/community we encounter through the art and movement of dance.
