Hi everyone
For those of you who didn’t know, today is my birthday - I’m fifty. The thing I want more than anything right now is to join my mentor on a trip to Egypt in May 2020. A friend recently suggested I set up an intuitive GoFundMe page but concerned you might miss the message in the ether (mistake it for indigestion, perhaps) I decided to set one up “for reals” (I have teenage daughters, I’m down with the lingo).
For anyone who has known me for any length of time, you will know that I will rarely ask for anything and in return, I will give you the shirt off my back/a bed for the night/a hot meal/hug or whatever you need.
I am not too proud to ask for your help to reach my goal. I would be happy to trade my time in return for your donation – cleaning, babysitting, gardening, washing your car in my bikini (you get the picture).
The deets:
Who: Me! The family would love to join me but that’s simply not financially possible for us.
What: 9 days in Egypt on a cultural and spiritual transformational retreat including accommodation, tours, meals and airfares
When: 28 May 2020 to 7 June 2020
Why: I have the strongest soul calling to journey on this trip, it is deeply within me. I just can’t shake it and for this reason I am not too proud to ask for assistance.
Financially the last year has not been fantastic for us as a family. I already have an abundant life with amazing friends and family, food on the table and so much to be thankful for. What I would dearly love is assistance in finding the money before 24 April 2020 to pay for the trip. My family is so incredibly supportive and understands what this trip means to me.
Any donation no matter the size would be greatly appreciated, you would make my 50th birthday one that I would dearly treasure and for that I would be truly grateful.
