Hello Everyone!
My name is Mia, and I am a Sixteen year old Sophmore in highschool who is absolutly in love with writing in all forms. I have been given the oppurtunity to study at Oxford for a month this July for my writing, and have been granted a scholarship! I would be majoring in Creative writing and minoring in studio arts. However, I need to raise money for the rest of the tuition and other costs to get me there.
The program lasts from July 2nd- July 28th, and takes place on the Oxford campus outside of London, England. The program is called "The Oxford Tradition", one of the Oxbridge academic school programs that allows young highschoolers to study at a college during the summer and meet other teens from around the world.
What is most important to me, is learning and being a student of the world and capturing my experiences through writing. I have documented my life and adventures through journels written in pen and water colored with images of places I have fallen in love with.
This oppurtunity will not only shape my writing, but will shape my life and the way I see the world. I would love it if you donate towards my education, and my passions!
Below, is the initial cost of the trip, with the scholarship I have been granted at the end.
Plane ticket: $1,595
Travel and transportation:$300
Tuition, room and board (minus lunch): $8,200
Lunch:$400
Outside of School activities: $500
Total: 10,995
Scholorship: -3,500
To raise: 7,495
