Send Lucilia to University
About a year ago I watched an Unreported World documentary that followed a young radio activist named Lucilia working to end the practice of sex for grades in her community in Mozambique.
I was pretty affected by what I saw, but also very impressed with this young woman who wanted girls to know their rights and make teachers accountable for their actions.
My colleagues and I were so affected that we organized an event in Maputo to show the film and brought Lucilia in as a panelist. Lucilia proved again what a strong activist she is against child marriages and sexual abuse in schools.
Lucilia would like to attend university in Mozambique starting early next year but financially it's not possible for her right now. In a country where only 1% of girls go to college, it'd be amazing if we could give Lucilia this chance.
Please consider a donation if you'd like to help Lucilia realize her dreams. I can only imagine the difference she can make if we give her the right tools.
