Send Kristin to B-School with Marie Forleo

My goal is to create positive change in the lives of others and their communities. My hope is to eventually build a community studio space of joy, play and growth and spread it outward. 

I love connecting with people but yoga taught me to become more connected with myself.  By doing so, yoga has transformed every aspect of my life in a positive way. I truly believe that it can heal mental, physical, and emotional pain & suffering to create a happier, healthier and more joyful life.

I want to open a yoga studio to create an uplifting, inspiring space where people commune, grow, share, connect and move through the challenges of life together in a positive and uplifting way.

When asked what motivates me, it's the ability to help others grow, to hear a student tell me how much the practice has healed them in some way, or when someone says how much I’ve inspired them on their own journey.  

In Fall 2012, I applied for a scholarship to attend the Kripalu School of Yoga's 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program. I was elated to receive acceptance into the program with a partial scholarship beginning the Spring of 2013. Those weeks were some of the most powerful, eye-opening and transformational of any other previously in my life. I felt like I had finally found my calling and I found my people; my sangha. I graduated Summer 2013 surrounded by an abundance of love and acceptance; something I hadn't ever felt before from such a large group of people who were now my family.

Since then, I have been putting more and more energy into reaching as many people, to grow my practice and turn my passion into a profitable business. The desire to make yoga more accessible runs deep and I've hung on to it for so long that I finally free I am ready to jump all in. This is where Kristin asks for help (and Kristin never asks for help). This is why I want to join B-School.

I am, finally asking this one small thing; to simply help me help others. If I've ever inspired you in some way, or if you've ever taken one of my classes and it helped you; this is for everyone who has yet to have the opportunity. I've created this campaign in an effort to propel me forward to the next step; joining Marie Forleo's "B-School" starting Spring 2019 (in 2 short weeks). It only happens once a year and I'm determined to stop putting my dreams on hold for a future date. The time for action is now.

The online program costs a little over $2000 and happens once a year starting in February. I'm not going to go into how I am a poor school teacher and $2000 is really hard to come by, but it's true. I can't afford it and that's the scary part (admitting it and asking for help). With your donations, by the end of the school year, I will have completed the program and a little closer to making the studio a reality.

Registration for the next B-School session is February 19th - March 1st, 2019. The live program is 8 weeks and runs March 4th - April 26th, 2019.
