Send Isabel to Canada! YWAM

Hello friends, 
Today, I am inviting you to join my journey. 

There are numerous pathways to my story (as there are to yours); detours and hidden gardens that used to be weedbeds, but I won't explain those now. I will simply summarize the past 16 years of following Christ as challenging, invigorating, refining, and undeniably worth it. 

Right now, I spend most of my time at school studying music, practicing, writing, reading, and finishing up my Associates in General Studies. I am dipping my feet into creative arts projects, and working with a friend to record an EP. God is teaching me loads about community, the importance of listening to Holy Spirit, and the privilege we have to rest in the presence of God all the time. 

YWAM DTS : 
YWAM stands for Youth With A Mission, and the DTS stands for Discipleship Training School. There are YWAM locations all over the world and with different themes for their DTSs. My theme is Arts and Music  in Quebec, Canada. 

The program is Six months, starting January, 2019.   
The cost is $7,000 (including housing, meals, airfare, teacher costs, housing and meals abroad, etc.). 

The six months breaks down as follows:
The first four months, I will be in Dunham, Quebec studying God's Word with a dozen other students and growing in knowledge and intimacy in Christ. Due to the theme, we will be intentionally growing in our abilities as artists and musicians, and using art and music to process what we are learning in the school and to worship God. 

The final two months, we will fly overseas to work alongside other believers, learning, teaching, and mutually-benefitting from each other's gifts and abilities. We will then fly home for the last week, debrief, pack, and return home.

A fun aspect of the school is that it is bilingual, so I get to apply the French I have learned in college and (hopefully) become fluent before I return home. Possible outreach locations are primarily in French speaking countries, so we will use the language to communicate the gospel with others (I am stoked for this!). 

Support 
The Father has provided countless times, but (almost always) through others. Although I am prone to think that I can "do it myself" (honestly–those were my very first words), I can't. I need other peoples encouragement, support, prayers, resources (time, finances, and abilities), and presence, because this endeavor is greater than me. God is equipping His church all over the world, and part of that equipping is teaching us to rely on him and work with each other, so that we live and glorify God as a unified body. That is what I am inviting you into. Whether He leads you to pray for me, give financially, say an encouraging word, thank you!! Blessings on you, your endeavors, and the work God has given you to do.

Although I have not written my testimony here, I love sharing what Jesus has done. Feel free to ask questions and I'll share what I can.
