Send Iain to the European Deaf Athletics Champs

I have been selected to throw the hammer for Great Britain at the European Deaf Athletics Championships in Bochum, Germany in July. 

Unfortunately there is no funding available for deaf athletes. Therefore I aim to raise £500 to help pay for flights, accommodation, meals, transfers, and competition kit etc.

I started training at 13 and train 5 days a week. I have a current personal best of 49m with the 7.26kg hammer. I compete regularly for Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow Athletics Club and have previously won gold at the Buckinghamshire County Championships.

My colleagues at The Hope & Champion Beaconsfield - J D Wetherspoons have decided to complete a sponsored "Bikeathon" in the pub. Collectively we aim to cycle from Beaconsfield to Berlin - 600 miles on an exercise bike. We will start cycling on Tuesday 25th June and finish on the main event day, Saturday 29th June. A collection bucket is available at the bar.
