Sending Hayley Rizzo to Harvard

Donation protected
Hayley Rizzo’s life at an early age wasn’t that of a normal child growing up with 2 loving parents and her siblings. Instead Hayley’s life began with her mother and her siblings becoming victims to horrendous domestic violence. Unfortunately, her mother was murdered and the kids were split up.

Brenda, Hayley’s Nana stepped up to the plate and took her in 10 years ago to keep her stable. Brenda always kept Hayley’s Mommy, Krystal in her life until she was murdered. Krystal always knew that Hayley stood a better chance at life and education being with Nana than what she was able to provide as a single parent. Hayley has been separated from her siblings but Brenda also has her sister Tiffany. Danny and Emily live in another state but are very close because Brenda makes sure that the kids have communication with each other.

When she got into grade school she had to endure bullying from other kids because of her teeth. As she became a few years older she was told that her mother was in Heaven and watching over her.

The little girl who endured so much growing up with little food, clothing and living shelter to shelter has weathered such many huge storms in her tiny life especially after losing her mother at a very young age.

Just knowing that her mother is watching over her and guiding her has given Hayley strength and determination to succeed in her education. This amazing young person is now in middle school and just turned 14. She has been thriving with her school studies with maintaining a 4.8 GPA and has been consistently on the Honor Roll for 8 years. Hayley’s hopes and dreams are of becoming a Cardiologist.

Even though Hayley was bullied in grade school she is smiling now because she had become a member of the National Junior Honor Society in 2016 at school. Hayley also received a certificate to become an Ambassador Leader and has been nominated to attend the 2017 Ambassador Leadership Summit Program at Harvard University in Summer.

Getting nominated for the Ambassador Leaders is a great honor and out of 140 countries Hayley was nominated from her teachers and Guidance Counselor writing letters recommending her. Hayley has heard nothing from her estranged father except for false promises to help her with her tuition to attend the Ambassador Leadership Summit Program at Harvard University and feeling that her dreams are shattered because she may not be able to attend the program. Hayley has never had any financial help from her estranged father.

Hayley deserves a chance at life and a chance to have her dreams come true and thrive not to be broken with more sadness in her life that most children never have to endure.

We are asking for any donations that you are able to make so Hayley will be able to attend The Ambassador Leadership Summit Program at Harvard University. The week-long Ambassador Leadership Program is not free. And she will be staying at Harvard for which costs total $5,000.00 for tuition and traveling expenses, clothing and food costs.

Hayley is a little firecracker and so many people are proud of her accomplishments against all odd but she can only succeed with your help.

Please know that this is the final spot they were holding for Hayley and time is running out to make her dreams come true.

My name is Gail Hall and I’ve known the family for over 30 years and I just wanted to help Hayley get to Harvard because I believe she deserves this just as much as any little girl.

How I am related to the funds being raised for Hayley:
My dear friend Brenda Rizzo's 14 year old grandaughter has worked very hard in school and has been on the honor roll for 8 years straight. Through her school she was offered the opportunity to attend the Ambassador Leadership Program at Harvard University. Brenda did not have the funds to make this happen so that's when I decided to help by setting up a GoFundMe page for Hayley Rizzo so she could attend Harvard's summer program.

This is a breakdown of the costs associated with how the funds will be used to cover expenses:
1. Clothing allowance for Hayley to attend Harvard

2. Laptop for university classes Hayley will be attending

3. Purchasing round trip airfare tickets for Brenda and her grandaughter Hayley from Florida to Boston

4. There will be baggage fees for each trip, approx. $25 baggage fee per person R/T will equal $50 x 2 people = $100. Depending on which airline is used baggage costs can be $35 then baggage fee per person R/T will equal $70 x 2 people = $140.

5. Car rental, & mileage fees for one week stay

6. Parking fees in and around the Harvard University

7. Meals for the 7 days will be broken into 3 per day= 21 meals per week x 2 people =42 meals for the week

8. Incidentals:Personal care and Hygiene products for Hayley

9. Travel alarm, Raincoat, Jacket, dress shoes, comfortable shoes,

10. Phone for emergencies

Hayley's future is to be a Cardiologist and her family would like to see and help her succeed in her dream of becoming a doctor so she can help others. If a child's education is important enough to nurture then this is what empowers our society by giving those an opportunity to reach for the stars.

NOTE: Please do not write negative comments. Giving is one thing, but saying something negative about another person can be very hurtful and is not accepted here.
