Folafoluwa - meaning (Giving Lord the Glory) was given emergency surgery at 11 am, October 1, 2020. The previous day this baby boy was taken to the U C H University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. Three different tests indicated a damaged liver that called for the Doctor to surgically evacuate the fluids and the mucus inside the liver. Donations were provided for the initial #225, 000:00 naira ($600 USD) and the surgery was successfully performed. The Surgeon told us that the Liver has been badly damaged !!! But the BEST WE COULD DO HAS BEEN EFFECTED ON HIM - he said"
Since the initial operation, we have been waiting for the boy to wake. Folafoluwa woke up in agony this morning, October 3rd. Emergency treatment at a children’s hospital is being called for. We were told that Birmingham Children's Hospital in UK will cost us little above #3.5m ngn. If it is the hospital in India, Kokilaben Hospital India will cost #4.5m ngn !!
The cost for additional care has mounted in US dollars to between $9,500 for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the UK to $12,000 for the Kokilaben Hospital in India; plus additional costs for travel and expenses.
In order to address this emergency medical treatment for Folafoluwa, we must raise these funds as soon as possible. Please consider what you can do, whether to personally support this effort with the needed funds (or as much as you can possibly give), or provide information for an aid source.
Folafoluwa is an orphan being cared for by our pastor at the Apostolic Believers Ministry in Ibadan, Nigeria.
