March for Our Lives bus to DC
Tax deductible
Following the Parkland shooting, members of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton (just miles from Parkland) wanted to help our community heal from this tragedy, by supporting the students demanding change. Musicians from the community gave their time to create a 5 hour Music Festival. Local businesses gave food and beverages to help make it a success. On March 18th we raised $8000. (See uufbr.org for a link to the video.)
Our goal is to rent a bus and send 44 local students and 8 chaperones to The March For Our Lives Rally in DC. The students are drawn from local high schools and some are featured in our video. None are able to afford travel costs from Palm Beach County to Washington D.C.
$6000 will fill the bus.
