Send Barrett to college

I have recently become aware of the fact that as of right now I do not have enough money to pay for my first year of college.  Last year I got accepted into the University of Denver and was under the impression that some family friends would be helping to pay for my tuition. Due to a whole bunch of various situations, they pulled out their payment and neither of my parents has literally any money to contribute. This leaves me, paying for my tuition from my own pocket. 

Thankfully my financial aid check was pretty sizable paying for about 2/3 of my total costs. A $10,000 scholarship helped cover about half the remaining money. Emptying out the $6,000 in my savings account I have earned working a minimum wage job over the last three years, helped a bit as well. Unfortunately, I am still left with about $6,000 worth of expenses and no idea how to pay for them.

This left me with an ultimatum that anyone who has spent extended time with me knows is very hard for me to do. I hate asking people for money. I feel immeasurably guilty when someone pays for my laundry, much less my college, but I have found myself in a truly desperate situation. I've worked my butt off since I was 16 trying to earn as much money as I can for college, but unfortunately, it just wasn't enough. For those who do not know, I am a 3.7 student who was offered a spot in the honors program, so I would not waste the opportunity. It would mean the world if anyone gave me anything. DU is honestly my dream school, and I have had my eye on it since I was a Junior. The money would be going to my meal plan and housing. I would forever be in your debt if you donated anything at all.
