Send Amanda Nelson to BC

We are Mickey and Cricket Scott and we are raising money for our friend, Amanda Nelson. Amanda has always loved running recreationally, but a couple years ago she decided to take on Ultra-marathon distances. Within this short amount of time she has won numerous local long-distance races and set a handful of Canadian records. Currently she holds the national women's record for the 12-hour, 100-mile, and Canadian soil 24-hour events.

Amanda has established herself as a top-tier elite endurance athlete, but competing at top-tier events requires traveling. She has earned an invitation to the Backyard Ultra Satellite World Championships in Summerfield, BC, to be held in October, and will mostly have to pay her own way out-of-pocket. She is excited to represent Canada at this event and looking forward to compete alongside some of the best endurance athletes in the country.

We are very proud of what Amanda has accomplished so far and are eager to see what more she can do!
