We would like to provide a forum of women leaders for teaching and networking across borders from Israeli’s dryland agricultural system solutions to Brazil, by:

1. Provide sustainable agricultural solutions for dryland agriculture
2. Women empowerment forum in agriculture and biotechnology
3. Find local solutions for dryland agricultural challenges
4. Network across borders for more sustainable agriculture practices

The connection between Negev-Northeast Brazil was already successfully established at the:  "1st Brazil-Israel Agriculture and Water Research and Development workshop.

"Sustainability in arid areas: Discarding distance boundaries to achieve a better solution”




Now, we need help to return to Brazil and continue working in the settlements...we already got paid all the local expenses by public and private institutions, but we still need to cover the expenses of the FLIGHT TICKETS for 5 researchers from Israel! 

The course “Agro-Hydrologic Technology and Sustainable Knowledge Transfer in Rural Arid Zones” will be primarily taught by and for women in the agriculture, hydrology, physics and remote sensing departments. The course will include theoretical knowledge in the agriculture, hydrology, physics and biotechnology fields that pertain to the local needs along with research and development that has been designed and put into practice in Israel. The course will include also field work where students will apply the theoretical knowledge in a model farm to specific issues that the local farmers are facing.
