Narciso "Seeso" Lobo.
His music inspires, uplifts and unites. The passion emanating from his ukulele performances is felt by fans worldwide, some of whom have never even met him in person. His songs, able to heal your heart.
Now it is Seeso who is in need of your love and support. This man with an incredible zest for life is now fighting a relentless invader, colon cancer.
The shocking diagnosis floored him, but in typical Seeso fashion, humor was the way he notified friends.
“Who has two thumbs and colon cancer? This guy.”
His positive attitude is admirable, and yes… he will kick cancer’s ass, but not before going through a grueling round of chemotherapy and radiation. Narciso is bracing for the worst, but hoping for the best as he tackles this head on.
Bi-weekly chemotherapy treatments begin Monday, December 12th and will last for four months. Next up is daily chemotherapy and radiation for 5 1/2 weeks. Surgery will follow 2 months after chemotherapy and radiation. The regimen will be draining, not only emotionally, but financially. Fortunately, medical insurance will cover the brunt of the expenses. Narciso is also blessed with an accommodating work environment, surrounded by a supportive employer and co-workers.
However there will likely be days when exhaustive treatments will render him unable to work his hourly job and maintain the work ethic he has established and become proud of.
We are asking you to help ease Narciso's concerns as he fights this frightening and life-altering diagnosis.
