Seeking Help for Ukrainian-Russian Family Member

Hello, my name is Amy, a PhD student in Minnesota, and I'm making this because I have helped with my own funds as much as I can but I know that we need more for this to work out. I'm doing this on behalf of Diana Baiqina-- she was my Russian exchange student 10 years ago, and we became forever sisters. I don't need to explain why someone would want to leave Russia, that is obvious. She is Ukrainian born, living in Moscow. For a while I was able to help her and her husband escape before they called the men to draft and they lived and worked in Thailand. But recently, they were deported from there and had to return to Russia to take care of their assets before the government seized all of it and made them penniless and homeless... They want to survive, and so do I. They're seeking the posibility of political regugee status to come to America and live with me or someone in my family. If not here, anywhere. But no matter where they go they'll need funds to get there and Russian currency is not enough for anything right now.

So I'm hoping people can give any little bit that they can so I can afford to sponser them to bring them here, or send them money to make it out of Russia anywhere else. I'll keep giving updates as time goes on, but it is dependent on when she can gain access to free internet since she can't easily contact people outside of Russia. For now, she is in relative saftey, but not without extreme risks as time progresses. Anything you have can help!
