Gabi's Second Liver Transplant

I am starting this campaign to help my sister, Gabriella Palmer-Cordero, as she needs a second liver transplant. Gabi has gone through many medical obstacles and a vast array of treatments in order to help regenerate this liver. Unfortunately, all treatments have been unsuccessful, and my sister has been placed on the transplant list. Just to stay alive, my sister takes 28 pills a day, which is absolutely astounding. To make matters even worse, she may have to travel to Florida in order to receive a liver and stay down there for a minimum of 6 months. Additionally, my sister was found to have a stage 2 arteriovenous malformation (AVM), which is a tangle of abnormal blood vessels connecting arteries and veins in the brain. Gabi will soon have to have this removed by radiation. Recently, Gabi also lost her health insurance, which will delay the entire retransplant process. She is a loving mother to my 5 year old niece, and I couldn't imagine her growing up without her mom. For months, I have watched my sister suffer in so much pain and deteriorate right before my eyes. Any donation, small or large, will help tremendously. My family and I thank you for your support during this difficult time.


In the event my sister passes while waiting for a liver, all proceeds will be donated to the transplant department at New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
