SEA- Special Education

Hi, my name is Ms. Stokes. I am a special-education teacher at Seaton elementary school in Washington, D.C. I teach eight students ages 3 to 5. They all have some type of cognitive and physical limitation, which requires me to tailor lesson plans to each of their special needs and teach them one-on-one.  Since the beginning of the school year, I have been using laminated sheets (which I made) for them to use when I teach them math and language arts. The sheets wear out quickly from being reused so often and they are very costly to create.  The students also say using the markers and pencils causes their finger and hands to hurt. This has begun to affect their learning ability. It is important to me that all my students have the learning tools and equipment they need to reach their highest academical potential.

Understanding my students' learning ability and needs, I believe that if they used electronic tablets, it will greatly improve their learning. I would like to raise funds to purchase the needed equipment.  With great appreciation, I would like to thank you in advance for your donation.
