Foca needs your help!

Foca's been slowly and steadily recovering. She's been eating and drinking unassisted and has even started to be more playful!

Foca ( means Seal) has been poisoned with rat poison last week. We don’t know if that was accidental or intentionally ☹️

Foca’s been always a happy, chatty cat who loved exploring the garden and beyond and zooming around the house but that changed Sunday last week.

All of a sudden she became withdrawn and stopped eating and drinking.

On Tuesday we took her to the vet who sent her home with antibiotics.

By Thursday she was already lethargic. We panicked and took her to a pet hospital in West London while waiting for an answer from Blue Cross.

She was kept in this West London hospital for 24h with the agreed cost of £800 (which was quite steep) but unfortunately, they presented a much higher bill in the end. On top of that, their bizarre attitude towards us made matters even worse.

By the time Foca could finally be seen at the Blue Cross on Friday, we had visited three vets, went to two hospitals and spent over £1,400.

It’s been an insane, sleepless week for all of us, mostly because it’s heartbreaking to see Foca suffering.

Blue Cross has been absolutely amazing, welcoming and understanding.

Foca’s treatment will last for 20 days.

It’s going to be a long, rough ride for her (and for us too) but now we feel she’s been properly looked after.

Any donation towards the costs, no matter how little, will be more than welcome.
