Scrubs for NHS staff on the frontline
Scrub Hub South Oxon and Berkshire Volunteers are organising this fundraising appeal on behalf NHS staff, Carers and Key Workers
Help support your NHS staff during this crisis
We are a network of volunteers based in South Oxfordshire and Berkshire who have formed in response to the national shortage of scrubs for our NHS staff.
There is currently a shortage in some areas and we are hoping that by joining the community garment making hubs we can make a difference little by little for our local doctors.
Some NHS staff such as GP's and consultants don’t usually wear scrubs - but this is the safest and easiest way for them to dress during this crisis.
The community hubs originate from Hackney Wick who had a request from a local doctor who needed scrubs made as they couldn't find them to buy anywhere. The network of hubs is increasing across the country as communities rally to help many others in the same position.
We are a network of local volunteers who are working as quickly as we can to get much-needed clothing to doctors. We are working within the strict guidelines of the lockdown and are asking for donations per uniform to cover material, delivery and running costs.
It costs us approximately £20 per Scrub set. We are not charging for scrubs, and are only able to make them entirely from donations made in this fundraiser. If you are able to make a donation, however small, we would be very grateful.
All our volunteers are giving up their time and expertise for free. Through this fund, after material costs have been deducted, we will be proudly donating to help support the NHS Practitioners Health service. They help care for and support the mental well being of NHS workers, who are doing such an amazing and selfless job of looking after us all during this time.

This hub was created after seeing the request for scrubs on social media with guidance from the original hub set up in Hackney Wick.
