In February 2018, Scout Schulz was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a grade-4, malignant brain cancer. Since that time she has been to 4 hospitals, had 5 brain surgeries, 9 months of chemotherapy, 30 rounds of radiation, and countless MRI’s. She received her first No Evidence of Disease (NED) designation in July of 2019, following surgery #4 & #5, as well as radiation treatment.
Early in September 2019, Scout's family started to notice some changes. Scout started to throw up and kept saying her tummy hurt. Several doctor’s appointments later, she finally received a CT scan. The scan showed possible tumor regrowth. Scout is heading to receive an MRI at St Jude to confirm or refute what was seen on CT scan.
