So I've decided is about time to cut my hair off and become a normal human being once again. I thought this would be a great opportunity for some good to come out of me getting my hair cut off so I've decided to set up this GO FUND ME PAGE to rasie some money for some family that could really use it. I have decided to send every penny raised to Tara and John Dodge. They are both BIG LOCAL MUSIC SUPPORTERS and many of you know them. For those that don't here is their story:
John was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia (ALL), which is called acute lympoblastic leukemia on March 26th 2015. In these past two years, John has been going to Strong Memorial hospital in Rochester for treatments on a trial. He has had his up and downs but continues to fight to kick cancers ass.
John recently was told on his maintenance program that his leukemia was back, so the Drs aggressively tried to treat it. During this process John had a seizure and was brought to St. Joes hospital by ambulance. During his stay he fell and hit his head and shoulder and was intubated and non-responsive for 4 days.
John was then transferred to Strong where he had memory loss. John had to learn how to talk, walk and write again. He was discharged to home with his wife under 24 hour care. He had speech and PT in his home. The Drs now tell John that chemotherapy will no longer work. John has been on the bone marrow registry for over 2 years without a match. John will undergo a half match bone marrow transplant with one of his kids being the donor.
John will have to have chemo and radiation to the head to keep the leukemia out.
So there you have it folks. This family could really use your help and i want you to all IGNORE the $1000.00 goal I set up. That is for a local family most of you know so i fully expect to BLOW AWAY the $100.00 goal.
*** MY HAIR WILL GET CHOPPED LIVE ON FACEBOOK ONCE THE GOAL IS MET BUT I DO PLAN ON LETTING IT RUN OVER 1000.00*** As we all know $1000.00 doesnt go to far especially when you have teenagers in the house so im hope we can get to $1000.00 or more relativly quickly
