Scott's Stroke Recovery Fund
Hi, I am Tracy Binner, Scott Neuman is my brother. Thank you for caring and taking the time to read this!
I am writing this for my brother and his family!
As some of you may know already, this past summer, my brother had a stroke. The good news, according to the doctors was it could have left him completely paralyzed or dead. The bad news is that he has had to recover from something that was totally unexpected and leaves him with some lasting paralysis. He has dizziness, right side sensation loss, he can't feel hot or cold on his right side from his head to his toes and will go from ultra hot and back to sub-zero cold in a moments notice. Everything spasms on his right side and his nerves are lit up. A light touch ftom his kids hurts like hell and his kids love to get picked up. His vocal cords are paralyzed on one side, making it very hard to work and talk and be understood. He also lost the ability to swallow easily. Liquids are a minor problem but forget solid foods. He has dropped 25 pounds because he can't swallow well!! For many weeks he has not had much income because he is in sales. No one wants to hear his raspy voice.
Scott is an extremely loving, caring person. He was in Rotary for years. When I was going through an extremely hard time in my life, he supported me both emotionally and financially! He continues to be a wonderful brother and uncle to us and our children. He and his family have come to so many of our childrens events to show their love and support! Scott and his wife Debra have two beautiful, talented, adopted children, Alexa and Matthew, that they give so much attention and devotion to! Alexa and Matthew are 11 and 12 and seeing their father sick and worried has been so hard on them!
I worry where will they get the money to pay their bills this month and to make up for the past months. Scott sells usef records online but that doesn't bring enough money in to pay the bills by itself!!
Although Scott would never ask for this... as his sister, I know it would mean the world to him and his family to know they have the caring and support of their friends and the community to help to pay the mortgage, car payments, utilities, groceries, etc . so he can concentrate on getting healthy again!!
Please, please consider making a donation to this family in their great time of need!
Any amount is greatly appreciated!!
Thank you so very much from all of us!
Love and blessings to you and your family,
Sincerely,
Tracy (Neuman) Binner, Scott Neuman and his family!
