Friends,

Many times we have to ask ourselves, who am I? This seems like a simple question to answer, or so I thought. Mine is I am a Christian father of 5 wonderful kids and married to my best friend Anna Marie. Like I said, pretty simple to answer.

When we look deep into it though maybe it isn’t. There are always challenges parenting and marriage wise that make it rocky though. Faith, family, and friends have always helped me through it. Yes, there are always what you can consider small bumps and have not really hit any huge ones I have not sure how to overcome, until now.

I HAVE CANCER.

Those three words have become the most terrifying words I have ever had to utter. Many of you here are simply friends because we have like tastes. Some of you are acquaintances, others people I know-friends and a few of you are close friends.

For those who do not know me, I have been having health issues for a few weeks. After going through a few doctor appointments I just got the diagnosis. With this I am taking steps for the next big ones that are coming. Like with most things there are a lot of unknowns and that is one of the hardest things for me to deal with.

I have esophageal cancer and it has also spread into the liver. What type of cancer and how bad is something I will find out next week. I had a feeding tube put in today as I have hardly been able to eat much over the last few weeks and, when I did, it was in pain. This is to help get my nutrient level up as I go into the next battle.

I know this is absolutely shocking news…trust me I know. I am going to apologize to those I did not contact personally to inform about this. As you can imagine this is extremely hard to do in this format. I know many of you will try to contact me, and message me in some kind of platform. Some I will reply to and others I may struggle with. Right now my life feels overwhelmed and even doing this has been an emotional struggle. If I do not get back to you please try not to be offended, it’s not that I don’t care, it’s a personal challenge I will have.

For those of you that pray, please do and keep my family in your prayers as well, as they are going to be going through a lot. For those who don’t just keep me in your thoughts.
