Scoggins Family George, Tanya & Fam

The Scoggins Family got a call on thier way home from work yesterday, (3/23/18) that there house was burning down. All family members got out alive, however, the family dog was lost. Even more tragic, thier home was given to them by Georges adoptive Grandmother, and it was uninsured.

George and Tanya are a wonderful couple, with a thriving and loving family. Tanya is a Nurse, and George is a Carpenter for D.H.Abney builders. We put together this GoFundMe for them, on behalf of George, who has worked on our new building location for the past year and a half, and who always speaks about how wonderful his wife is, and his children, and how lucky he is to have them. He is an intelligent and smart man, who has had some terrible luck. Thank goodness his family was spared.

THEY need your help! They have nothing. Thier13 year old daughter has to resume school on Monday, and they both have to resume work. They will have to rent a home and eventually rebuild thier lives, while creating new memories in a new place.

Rent in Beaufort County is on average $2,500. a month for a 3 bedroom home. They will need at least a year plus.. to rebuild. The average cost of clothes per month is $200.00, and more for teenagers, and the average cost of food PER WEEK, is $180. Then there is fuel to work, utilities, school cost, etc. They are speaking with the red cross, but those of us that have been through sitiuations as these will attest that relief may come, but it takes a while. Life doesnt stop for these types of tragedies, so I am asing for your help wth our friends.
Their first year of expenses alone is guesstimated to cost them:
RENT - $30,000.00
UTILITIES - $4,800.00
CLOTHING - $2,200.00
FOOD - $9,300.00 (per person)
TOTAL - *$46,300.00!!!! - And this is with NO EXTRAS AND NO ADDED COST!
