School Supplies for Hard-hit Brooklyn Families

Back-to-School Season is right around the corner.

You know what that means!

It is time for our annual Back to School Drive!!!

Did you know that the average NYC public school supply list is roughly $250 per student?

A household with 2-3 children can quickly add up to $500-$750! Imagine being homeless and staying at a NYC shelter, struggling to make ends meet, AND you have a child or children. Sadly, this is a reality for far too many Brooklyn residents.

For hard-hit Brooklyn families, in shelters and NYCHA developments, those costs are difficult to bear and in many cases impossible.

Throughout JULY & AUGUST 2023, this Brooklyn nonprofit in collaboration with Local FDNY Engine 234 / Ladder 123, Light Goddess Love, and Girl Scout Troop 2111 are raising funds to help lighten the financial burdens for 1000 students heading back to school in September.

We are also seeking in-kind donations & signing-up volunteers to prepare & giveaway the supply-filled book bags to area students.

We can't do this alone
