School Bags and Stationery Campaign
One Child One Bag
Target group: 150 poor students and orphans of both sexes
Price of the school bags and stationery:- GBP16
Required amount:- GBP2500
Age:- Elementary and preparatory students between 6-14 years old in the primary and preparatory level.
Items to be distributed:
A school bag and some school stationery:-
10 notebooks / 2 erasers / 2 sharpeners / 2 pencils / 2 pens / a water bottle
Location:- Jabalia Camp, Gaza Strip
Time/
the beginning of the new academic year 2022-2023, at the end of August 2022 .
The aim of this project is to
provide school bags with all needed stationery inside for 150 needy students.
The background of this project:-
In Jabalia Camp, it is common to see many students walking to school holding their books under their arms or carrying them in a plastic bag. Their families’ financial status is so weak and poor that they cannot afford the basic necessities, such as a school bag and other stationery needed for school. With a very limited income, they would instead have to buy food over school stationery.
The reason for this project is:-
• alleviate the burden of parents of poor students living in Jabalia Camp, Gaza Strip who cannot provide school supplies for their children,
• strengthen the capabilities and capacity of the Palestinian society to face the blockade and cope with it.
• encourage those students who drop out because they don't have the essential needs for learning, to return to school
• support the educational process
• encouraging children to study, read, and seek knowledge.
• help students to do better in their school by encouraging them to study and enable them to feel that there are other people who do care about them.
• support for the right of the education for all students and enable them to fulfil their potential,
• all school bags and stationery will be bought from Jabalia Camp local market to support the local economy.

As you can see from this link, teacher Mohammed Alazzami has implemented the first part of the campaign, the purchase of school bags for distribution to the students.
